Ottawa, ON quintet We Were Sharks have become a staple in the pop-punk and rock communities around the world since their breakout single “Bridge Burner” from the ‘Not A Chance’ EP in 2015. Since its release, the band has seen continued growth and success through several North American tours between 2016-2018, leading up to their 2018 major independent debut release of ‘Lost Touch’ LP (produced by Paul Marc Rousseau of Silverstein and Sam Guaiana), which has amassed over 16 million streams globally. Their debut single “Beyond Repair” moved into heavy rotation with Ottawa’s prominent rock station CIDG/Rebel 101.7, debuting at #35 on the Canadian active rock chart within two weeks of airplay after landing New Music Friday Canada on Spotify. With many more full North American tours and festivals such as Vans Warped Tour, FEST in Gainesville, FL and Ottawa’s Rebel Fest between 2018-2020, We Were Sharks just celebrated the 5 year anniversary of ‘Not A Chance’ (Deluxe Edition) and began writing and demoing for a new album to follow up the resoundingly positive and community acclaimed ‘Lost Touch’. We Were Sharks just wrapped up recording their new LP ‘New Low’ set for release via Revival Recordings and Known Accomplice/Cadence Records in spring of 2021. ‘New Low’ is produced by Paul Marc Rousseau and Sam Gauiana.
